Trying to install img in a virtualBox
(too old to reply)

I downloaded the 2015 img file and converted it to .vdi to run in
a VirtualBox. I make the CPU PAE. The IDE CD drive is empty, and I point
the SATA controller to debian-hurd.vdi.

The boot of debian-hurd starts, but then hangs. I am used to booting an
ISO in VD, but not image files, and I suspect I've not set up the
virtual machine correctly.

After partitions checking I get
module 0 ext2
module 1 exec /hurd/exec/
2 multiboot modules
task loaded ext2F's
task loaded /hurd/exec/
start ext2fs: extfs: device:hd0s1: No such device or address

I don't know what to make of this.

Change the SATA controller to IDE controller, if that helps.
